Jackie's Baby Shower

Baby Girl Wallace deserved some celebrating....she's due in September so her Grandmothers planned a shower for Jackie and I was happy to help.  After some debating, it was decided to do it at Jackie's house.  She does happen to have a great home for entertaining with a huge kitchen, a sun room and a great backyard.  I was still under the weather from my surgery on the 12th, but was able to get there an hour before and help set-up.

The Moms are both cooks.  Mrs. Wallace is quite the baker.  I have to admit I may have tasted several of these.
The decorating theme....owls and baby girl in general :).  Mrs. W. made these pops.  Sadly, this was mine and it completely melted!
Appetizers, coffee, punch and mimosas while the breakfast pizzas and other brunch food were finished off.  The A-Team got the baby this owl off of Jackie's registry.  So cute!  It was kind of windy and I kept trying to set out the paper for the games and scrap book and they would blow away.
Confession: not sure her name.  But she was sweet and her baby adorable!  Q said Chrissa I can be in the picture, too right?  Of course!
This baby was really quiet until near the end :)
Mrs. W's cupcakes.  I left while Jackie was still opening gifts because I didn't feel well, but I stole a couple.  Chocolate ones were my favorite.
Megan arrives with baby Aidan.  I had to laugh because this kid HATED the sun in his face.
I like this photo.  Quentin clearly wants things to get moving :)
Finishing up the food with Mama C.
Mrs. W and Aunt Priscilla.  A LOT of personality in that family.  Love it.
So we did a word scramble everyone cheated on and I had everyone write out advice to Jackie about raising a baby girl, which she read aloud and I will put into a scrapbook.  Jackie's been running a baby name poll on FB, so I had everyone vote, too.  My favorite Annalise (sp?) won :)
Gift time!
Jackie was an avid dancer, so this gift was particularly special...from the dance studio.  I wasn't feeling well so Mom Campbell had Jackie pause on gifts and Brian come out so I could snap an anniversary portrait we planned on months ago.
Not bad for five minutes with an audience of 25, two feet of space and nausea on my part and probably hers.  I had MUCH bigger plans and vision, but what you going to do?  Just wait until I get my hands on the newborn for a "photo shoot" :)

Aww...Baby Girl Wallace....
Adorable couple, wonderful family.  I hope you had a great day Mrs. Wallace!!  :)
