Holly Turns 32

Holly wanted to go to Rudy's for her 32nd birthday at the end of June.  Holly is our niece, Todd's secretary/office manager and probably the person he's closest to outside of me.  She earned my respect as I saw how loyal she is to Todd and how much she cares for him.  The night before our wedding, she insisted he deserved a bachelor party, brought over a bottle of Tequila and was wasted by 8pm.  She never really drinks, so I thought it was a cute gesture.  And after I had Abbey and Todd had to go away overnight, she ran the office all day and came over to help me as I put my two babies to bed at a time I felt very overwhelmed.  I hate asking for help, so it was something I really appreciated.

Since Todd's 7 years older than her, they are kind of like brother and sister and there was even a point as kids that she had her own bedroom in the trailer he shared with his parents!

Holly has two stepchildren who are 20 and 21.  This is Anya, her step granddaughter who is a few months younger than Adam.  Holly's significant other Ron came as well as her stepkids Nicki and Andy.  Anya is Nicki's daughter.  She looks so cute here.
Adam wants to see all the action behind the Rudy's counter!
I really love this picture. The look on his face is so funny!  Hmmmm What should I get?
Over to Bev's!  Best photo ever.
OK, this one is pretty good, too.
They were so into it. Check out Abbey eyeing Adam's cone.
I'll just have a taste...thanks!
Holly "smiling" on command.  She HATES her photo taken, but I force her on occasion.
Kids wanted to go down by the water as the finished, so I clamped onto Abbey and walked down with them.  Covered in ketchup and ice cream, the kids were so tired when we left!  I had to take them home and stick them into the tub.  Later that week, I took Holly to Maurice's for a shopping trip, our new tradition since last year.  She NEVER bus herself clothes and is always dressed in jeans and sweatshirts so I told her I'd get her some girly stuff.  She picked out some cute shirts with some bling and I've actually seen her wear it all!  Working with garbage guys all day, I'm sure she hears it....  I love that my niece is OLDER than me ;)

  1. MMMMmm.....Rudy's sounds good. My ice cream shop closes at the end of this month. Sad. Looks like fun was had by all. I'm sure Holly feels equally lucky to have you all in her life.
