Breitbeck With Devin & Brianna

In July, we met Bethany and her kids over at Breitbeck Park on a Tuesday (Bethany's day out of the office).  Abbey went right for the swings and I snapped this first photo while pushing her.  Then Brianna got sucked into pushing her :)  She doesn't mind...she is SUCH a little Mama (reminds me of Bethany at that age....who was the super babysitter).

They brought Adam sports equipment because they remembered how much he had liked it the year before.  He was running around with a baseball glove, which was pretty cute.  He really got into the big blue ball with Devin, though I had to remind him that chuck the ball to hit Devin was NOT the game.
You can't tell me this photo didn't make you smile :)
OK, now he's getting the hang of it!  Can you believe how grown up Devin looks???
Slide time!! Weeeeeeeeee.......Abbey spent a lot of time on it!
Adam posed for me.  He was really having a great day.
Picnic Time!  My kids don't eat sandwiches, so I bring them crackers, fruits and snacks and they did pretty good.  This picture cracks me up.  For a while, I actually sat with Bethany and talked while her kids played with mine.  It was kind of wild.  I didn't have to constantly worry that Abbey was going to run off into the sunset or that Adam would try to steal someone's ball.  They are SO good with my kids.
Love how Brianna is like Whatever in these pictures.  Used to her big brother being goofy....I feel like it's a flash into the future of my kids.  Adam just laughed and laughed.  It was pretty cute.  Abbey mostly sat in my lap and ate before wanting to go back to the swings.  My kids were SO tired when we left!  Bethany is so good with them...Abbey will actually go right to her.
When Bethany and I were kids about Devin's age, we used to walk to Babcock Oil to get a soda as our summer entertainment.  It was a mile round trip and I used to beg my mom to let me go.  Doesn't seem like 20 years ago....!

  1. Nice for them to be around other kids when they can. You want them to grow up with other kids who you know are going to be good kids.

  2. It was a fun day and I'm so glad my kids are good with younger kids and get to experience that. Just saw that Scriba pools last day is the 28th. Maybe one more swim date?
