Franklin Park With Q

On Wednesday, we met Jackie and Q at Franklin Park for a picnic, play and sprinkler fun.  I don't go to Franklin Park on my own because it's easy to "lose" a kid in that maze.  But what kid's face doesn't light up when they see it?  Abbey went right to the swings...  she loves it so much!  

 Her joy for so many things is something I just love about her.

 Soon, she realized that there was a whole lot of park to see and wanted to get down.

 There's Adam and Q.  I wish I'd had a telephoto lens with me...love the look on their faces.

 Like they are starting their own tough kid gang :)

 Down the slide!  It was fun to hear Adam playing with another kid.  I haven't heard him share imagination much with other kids.  They were in a castle, a jail and there were monsters.

 Pregnant Jackie.  Doesn't she look great???  Six more weeks to go!

 Abbey do NOT eat that gravel. Sigh.  We stopped for our lunch soon after.  My kids ate better than usual, though Adam would NOT sit down so as a punishment I made him sit time out while Abbey and Q got to play.  Quinten was so cute....he was willing to wait with Adam!  I thought it was so thoughtful and showed his big heart.  And he really treats Adam like a buddy, which not all 7 year olds would do with a 3 year old.

 Time for the sprinkler!  Abbey ran around while I changed Adam and then the boys hit the sprinkler while Abbey had a temper tantrum about getting her suit on.  Lasted less than ten minutes, so I guess she's improving!  And she got over it quick!
