Heavy Head

I feel sick.  A cold or flu, what's the difference?  Headache, sick stomach, the urge to sleep.  Makes no difference with two toddlers.

I got back on the exercise bike this morning after two weeks, which I really should have last week.  That's when I realized I didn't feel well.  But I logged in 15 minutes.  A bit lame, but I had to start somewhere before the habit slips away.

Yesterday, the school clothes I ordered for Adam arrived.  Mostly pants and a few other things.  I had Adam try on some jeans and some pants that I told him were for school.  They were a little long.  He was posing in them saying "I'm a big boy!".  Cute, very cute.

Yesterday, I was able to put a contact back in my eye after two weeks.  My eye seems to be doing well, but I wish the swelling would go down completely so that I could see if they were actually even.  Right now, my eyebrow is higher as the muscle was keeping the eye open.  Now that it doesn't have to overcompensate, it's yet to relax.  The doctor did explain I'd look quizzical for a while.

Summer is ending.  I can feel it.  Mixed feelings.  I always loved the fall, but summer has become so fun with kids.  And in the summer, I see everyone more.  Went by fast.  Fall brings school for Adam, our anniversary, Adam's birthday, Halloween, and Thanksgiving, all things I love.

My head feels so heavy, like there's cement in it.

  1. I'm sure it is terrible being sick while you are taking care of toddlers. All you want to do is spread out and rest and that isn't possible....especially as it spreads to everyone. Sigh.
