Today we went to the farmer's market for the first time this year. This summer is flying by. We met Jackie and Quinten and Adam and Q went right into the bouncy house. Boy, they love it. Abbey was in a crap mood; I don't think she felt well she asked to be put back in her stroller, which never happens. We went into the book mobile for the first time and Adam was entranced by a Mickey Mouse book with trucks...we borrowed that and a dinosaur book. We walked the perimeter, with a pit stop into the candy shop..I let Adam pick something out for the first time and he picked out gummy worms, though he never has had them. He was such a big boy... so independent. I didn't even bring the double stroller...he helped me push Abbey in hers while we were walking there and stayed close to Q most of the time (OK, they did get a little nuts, with Adam getting Q's head into a bank box and what was funny, was he knew he did something wrong he told ME he was sorry because he wasn't sure what.
Anyhow, turns out Adam didn't care much for his gummy worms though Abbey had a couple. He was having so much fun. He also got to go inside a fire truck and I could tell Abbey wanted to, too but she was too little to go in without me :) Quinten was so helpful with Adam, holding his hand, playing with him and showing him the way. I love seeing them together! Let's see if they are conniving in 15 years at 17 and 20 :) Taking turns with bail money, huh Jackie?
Adam is growing up fast Abbey, too.
He is talking so much. Before we left, he called Q queen instead of tin. He's getting closer!

Everything is an adventure when you are little...even the Farmer's Market. I went to the mall by myself. First time I've done something by myself in awhile. It was great. There was a fleeting moment where I wanted to move to North Dakota and become a secretary.
ReplyDeleteSo, shall we set up a bail account now... just in case? :)
