Renaissance Fair

On August 1, when Bonnie and April were still here, we decided to take them to the Renaissance Festival in Sterling. I have gone in the years past and Todd and I took Adam last year...I really enjoy it...here's the A-team looking around as we get there, deciding, I imagine what type of mood they want to be in! The rare picture of Todd and I. I told him if he took this, I wouldn't harass him for a picture the rest of the day! April took several, one or both of us still managed to look goofy in each! It was the beginning of the day and we headed to wear there was to be bagpipe music, one of the few things I really knew I'd like to check out. Abbey loved it. And Adam was in a good mood, enjoying himself as the musicians marched in.
And mesmerized for a bit, a rare feat for him! I liked it to, though I agree with my husband, after a while, it does start to sound the same! :) Look closely at Adam's face...it has chocolate ALL over it just from a small piece of cookie I shared with him! Love this picture...little Abbey so cute. We brought a bottle and Abbey actually drank an ounce from it! I had to walk far away...but it kept her happy so we wouldn't have to leave and I wouldn't have to go hide in the car with her! She loves her Daddy here, you can just see it. April with Ye Old Turkey Legge...and three arms! When Adam was done with his french fries, he stuck the container on his head! He doesn't look it here, but he was quite pleased with himself for being "funny"! I suppose it's because I stick things on his head and say "Look at you, you're a bucket head" or "You're a bowlhead!" Adam LOVED the maze...taking off pretty quick with Todd catching up. We found each other at the end. I hate how I look in this picture, but I like that we're all together. Hi Abbey! April took this from the top tower. And Adam loved sliding down and out of the maze with April! It was close to 3 when Todd and I left with the kids. I didn't gorge myself as often as in the past, enjoying my steak on a stake quite a bit! But when we got to the lot, we had NO idea where we parked....we wandered for at least 15 minutes before Todd got the "panic" button on the key remote to activate the car. It was ridiculous and pretty funny...I'm usually really careful to pay attention. I blame my "mom-brain"! HA!

  2. Isn't it more fun to do all these things with little kids you love? It is a totally different experience...about them...not you.
