Hanging Out on September 1st
At the State Fair, I had stopped to buy myself a chocolate chip cookie in the dairy building (of course, these cookies have become the bane of my existence) and saw these awesome sesame street cookies. THey didn't have an Elmo but Adam loves Cookie Monster second, so I thought it would be such a treat. When I first pulled it out and gave it to him, he smiled...especially when I made it talk in Cookie Monster's voice. But as you can plainly see here, he wasn't impressed with it at all. Haha I couldn't convince him to eat it at all! I tasted it, too and well, it wasn't the best tasting frosting but the cookie part was tasty :) I love this little story because it's a great lesson about parenting...you can have a plan, be excited and get your camera out to catch that moment...then, well, your kid just doesn't agree. And there's humor in that!
Our dryer had been squeaking since July. Todd had taken it a part a few weeks earlier to see he needed parts to fix it. Adam wandered out there as he was doing it and immediately started "helping". So cute :)
While the boys were fixing the dryer, Miss Abbey was being super-cute in the living room. All in one month, she was sitting up and crawling just in time for 6-month birthday! She is always happy when I hang out with her on the floor and as she had just started crawling, I could still get her to sit still then...
And of course, Bailey is one of the girls, so she had to hang out with us!
Adam loved Bailey from the minute he was born, but Abbey didn't discover her until she was a few months old. She LOVES her, too and grins when Bailey comes around and can hardly focus on eating if Bailey is in sight. Bailey is much more accommodating to Abbey's loves and touches then to Adam's, but it's probably a combination of being "broken in" and Abbey truly is a little more gentle!

I could tell she was fascinated by my grandparents' dogs when you were there. Adam loves cookie monster...he must have thought it was cruel to eat him.
