Abbey is Growing Up...Mostly! (Our First "Shopping" Trip)

Last week, on Monday, Adam stayed with Mom while I took Abbey to Kohl's. I put her in the umbrella stroller, and it felt a little bit like our first mother/daughter outing, though it wasn't the first time I took her somewhere. I think because she was like a big girl, sitting up, taking things in and smiling and laughing. I had a gift card that had been a gift when she was born, so I headed to the baby section (who I am kidding, that's where I'd head anyhow!). I got couple of outfits and headed to the back where the home stuff is. This is only the third time I'd been to Kohl's ever and the sale stuff was good...I got a large wooden "B" for $3.84. I rounded out the trip with two books for Adam, including one about his body parts with the flaps he LOVES to lift up. It helped him learn "nose"....Until he ripped all the flaps off by the end of the week "sigh".

Abbey was busy trying to grab things and look around, though if she felt I strayed to far from her sight she started to get upset. People would stop and grin at her, saying how adorable she was, especially when she grinned. She's still a peanut, wearing 3-6month clothes, but so strong, sitting there holding herself up. I'd say she was growing up...yet here I am in the middle of the night awake because she is back to getting up at 2/3ish. I am really tired these days, but I remind myself it won't be many years until she doesn't want to be with me at all let alone all the time!

Meanwhile, she's crawling pretty well!

  1. Yes, enjoy the 2am moments. In just a few short years I'll be at the - where is my kid at 2am?- moments. You have the better end right now!
