Christmas Eve

By the time Christmas Eve evening arrived, the kids were tired and strung out.  Excited and wired.  See how Abbey accessorized well with one of my headbands.  They were watching Despicable Me 2 here so I could race around at the last minute and get things done!
Handsome in argyle.
Bobby, Lynette and Desiree came over.   They scored big with Abbey.  They got her Vanillopi from Wreck-It Ralph.  One of her favorite gifts!
Adam opening his Skylander pieces.  Part of a Wii game.
Desiree loved her Helllo Kitty comforter.  So glad.
Handsome boy.
Bobby loved his blanket I had made.  I did, too.
Cute shot of messy dinner Ellie.
That smile.
Unwrapping her first Christmas gifts.
Loved her bear from Uncle Bobby.
Abbey with her doll.  And one of the doll's clip in hair pieces in HER hair.
Awww...
Love this.
Kathy came by and spoiled the kids.
Unwrapping!
Desiree just loves Ellie.  She was helping her unwrap.
Ellie was pretty good at it!
She loved this little vanity from Kathy.
Happy couple.
Love this hat from Kathy!  Holly also came by.   I served meatballs and hot sausage and appetizers so people could grab as they wanted.
The best part of the night came.  Adam helped me pick out cookies for Santa and the right cup for his milk.  He placed it on the dining room table and then adjusted it so it would be the PERFECT place for him to see from the crack in his door.  He set a trap for Santa.  He had a hard time going to sleep and when I took the trash out, he was out his door looking for St. Nick.  He eventually fell asleep, Mom could bring down the parent gifts while Todd had already passed out.  I was in bed around 12:30, earliest in a long time on Christmas Eve.  Apparently, Abbey then woke up and Todd had to go in her room and keep her there!  I LOVED their excitement.

  1. I know you were stressed out. The blog shows that a little time and distance left it as a nice memory.
