This is what we wake up to now. The Elf, which Abbey has named Wally and Adam has named George (haven't dealt with that yet). He flies back to Santa at night and gives a full report on the Butler household. Hopefully, he isn't telling on Mommy who didn't actually get lights on the Christmas tree for three days. One of my least favorite tasks and and as Adam and Abbey came running into my room at 6:55 am, ( so I got to nap between 6:20 and 6:55am WOO HOO!!) her in a tutu and sunglasses and him pretending to cuddle me so he can steal my Iphone, talking in "whispers" so they don't wake up Baby Ellie, I figured I would just do it. So that's what I did at 7 am this morning. Adam asked me to take his photo with the tree. Abbey had a chair parked in front of Wally as she kept informing me he was "sm-llll-ing". Which Adam proceeded to copy. And it was even creepier on Adam's face. I do more before 9 am these days than I used to do before noon...before KIDS. But look at Adam's face. It's worth it... of course, I'm only saying that after THREE cups of coffee :)
By 7:30, they were at the table with cereal and I was trying to get things ready to take him to school. Wednesday is my day where it's just me and Adam, because Bobby comes and watches the girls. I try to make the most of it. Tell him how much I love that it's just us, help him get his coat off and sit with him and talk while he writes his name. He glows with the one on one focus. Then I get an errand or two done (though today I met Jackie for breakfast and it was so nice to just go out to eat and talk, no kids! but of course, we talked about kids) and come back to take care of Ellie and Bobby does something with Abbey or waits to pick up Adam and does something with the both of them. They love the Bobby time.

Being a mommy to three kids is a full-time job. But, it is a pretty rewarding one I suppose. The elf stresses many parents out!
