Eleanor at Six Months

I've been puttering around with this entry for a week, trying to get the right photos on it and in the right order and now I'm just going to do it for better for worse.  A week and a half ago Miss Eleanor turned six months old!  She's a little peanut, weighing in under 12 pounds.  She brings such happiness to our family with her big grin, it's hard to remember life without her.  I never did a five month post so I'm just going to throw it all out there.  This photo above is right before she turned five months old and I gave her food for the first time.  Baby rice cereal.  She took right to it and loved it.  I was fairly impressed.  Below is a picture I took the day she turned five months old, next to her monkey.  She goes to sleep now with that monkey playing music.  She's been rolling around like crazy for months now.  It seems crawling is in the near future.  Her doctor said she may not be gaining much weight because she is so active and ahead developmentally.
I snapped this photo during the first half of October.  She doesn't fall asleep on me much anymore.  All my kids...so independent.  Doesn't she look like a doll here?
This photo is from the beginning of November.  I put this car seat cover on her to keep her warm and she CRACKED up!  She never does that!  We have to earn her smiles, but this was a full out crack up!
So here's my mini photo shoot for the day she turned six months old.  Hard to keep her fingers out of her mouth.  She's been teething hard for a couple of months it seems, but no tooth yet!
Her smile lights up her face.  She is getting the Butler brown hair.
Her eye color is hard to pinpoint, like Abbey's.  So I'm assuming they will be a hazel.  Sometimes they are greyish or bluish and other times brownish.  Pretty eyes.
She gets cold easily, so I'm always layering her clothes.  When she sleeps, I keep socks on under her pj's and because our room is drafty, we just added a space heater in there for her.
A lot of her angel dust has faded.  I miss it but I think she has just the right amount now, too.
She doesn't keep headbands on and she's always trying to pull hats off.  She can hold things and go after things and she's always pulling socks off.
She usually takes one big nap a day, but I think it's because she kind of does her morning nap by sleeping "in".  She goes to bed between 8 and 9 usually and gets up once, sometime between 4 and 5 usually, eats and then goes back to sleep until 8 or 9 and then sleeps 2-3 hours in the afternoon.  The time varies because our schedule does.  She's easy going unless she's hungry or gassy.  But even when she's hungry, she can be comforted.
OK, maybe she looks like me.  A cuter, smaller version of me.  She's starting to get impatient with nursing but still refuses a bottle.  She eats food twice a day and I load it with rice cereal and formula to help fatten her up!  This is a goofy face I love it.
I'm so in love with Ellie.  We are lucky to have her.  I love how she smiles when her Daddy talks to her in a funny voice or her face lights up when Adam plays with her.  And her new obsession is BAILEY. She wants to touch her and if she's around us, she won't lie down to nurse, she has to be up and watching the dog.  Poor Bailey!  Ellie has the most pathetic cry...even the doctor commented on it.  When she's upset, we all have a hard time functioning.  She'll have her future husband wrapped around her finger....
