On Sunday afternoon, after the Moose Christmas party, we went over to Ontario Orchards to get our tree. Earlier in the week, Adam asked me where his tree was. Ha. We may have been a BIT late! That morning, he started to get upset when we told him we weren't getting a tree first, but calmed down when we told him he'd meet Santa, but he did NOT forget. On our way there, he couldn't stop asking if we were getting a tree. (to our credit, we had planned on getting one the weekend before but he was SO sick!).
We had actually decided to get a table top one to keep it off the floor since Ellie is so active rolling around. I stayed next to the car with a snoozing Ellie and Todd took the A-team to look at trees. It was really cold out! They walked around and picked one that had a chunk missing and after I pointed that out, they picked this one. It looked smaller there than at home...it's well over five feet! But it felt like the right one, even if it's not a table top tree!
Adam told me he was freezing and wanted to get in the car. He had forgotten his mittens and took my scarf to warm his hands up.
Abbey wanted to watch them saw the bottom and didn't get back into the car until Todd came back from paying for it and they were strapping it to the ceiling. I love their different personalities :) They were SO excited. It's fun to see how much they are loving Christmas.
