I ended up taking the kids to the doctor today because a very curious rash started spring up on Abbey. I took them both in case it was chicken pocks.
Abbey started crying the minute we walked into the office. Her fever was rampant (it took TWO doctors and a nurse and me to hold her down to take it) at 102.9 and she was flipping out. Nothing made her more upset than when they were trying to get Adam's vitals. It started at the scale. She was trying to hold him back and in the exam room she was hitting the doctor who was trying to look into his ears. She was being VERY protective and didn't calm down at all until he hugged her.
Overall, she barely stopped crying the whole time. The doctor said it was a virus, not the chicken pox. I tried to give her motrin in the office, but she spit it all over her face and I had to wash her eyes out in the sink.
She stopped screaming the minute we walked outside, falling asleep as I put her in the seat. I got Tylenol in her at home, though she didn't nap well. She wold sleep for a bit and then walk up screaming. Since then, her rash has all but faded and I just put her into bed.
Abbey's tantrum didn't shock me. She is sick and that's how she acts. But her anger over them touching her brother did surprise me. It was kind of sweet, but boy I pity anyone who steps on her brother. She's very loyal...I think she gets that from both of us!

So he just said a general virus? Glad you took her. In the very least, someone checked her out. Now, home with mommy and daddy for recovery.
