When Mom was in town and our plans were changed, I figured I'd take the chance to take the kids to Breithbeck Park...dum dum dum ALONE! Doing these things with Miss Abbey, who loves to take off running, can be daunting, but she has shown some restraint. We pulled into the lot and she got excited right away when she saw the swings. We got out and Adam headed towards the play area and slides, super excited. She ran to the swings, I put her in and pushed her and then ran over to snap a picture of my boy before her swing stopped. There he is, above, climbing up...getting right into it. He loved it. Eventually he wandered over to the swings and joined Abbey for quite a while. This picture would be so freaking cute...if her eyes were OPEN!! Actually, it's still cute :)
We had the place to ourselves almost the entire time.
This is the look I get when Adam realizes I'm in his face with the camera. MOM. ENOUGH!
My cute boy.
I adore Abbey's Joie d'Vivre.....She just has so much fun. She spent almost the whole time swinging.
I'd say I didn't get a perfect picture of this moment. But I did. They all just show how much fun she is having. The blur and off center...for once, they don't bother me.
Pretty girl.
And Adam finally gave me full smile treatment. Yep, that's the Mazda in the background.
Abbey eventually went over to the play area, CLIMBING the big kid ladder alone (though I spotted her) going down the slides and screaming when I finally made them leave after over an hour. Adam was ready to go. I took them to Mom's.
P.S Later, when I visited Mom I had my camera out and snapped a picture of Eric and when he saw me with the camera....
THIS is what I got. Eric's always good for a laugh.

I love taking pictures of the girls at the playground. The colors and joy just make for great snapshots.
