A Few of Their Favorite Things

Look close. On top of this is Two-toppy. That's triceratops. Adam sleeps with him, without the "equipment" because I won't allow it. But he's kept the box since Christmas and he's grouped them with his two other toys that are from the same "series". He isn't obsessed with the set this week, but he spent several weeks really into them and today, pulled them back out. In this photo, one of his dinosaurs from Terry Potter made the cut for this "special box", allowed into the set. He'll get back to them...I've noticed that he will really get into something for a while, put it aside for a weeks and go back to it. And God forbid he go to bed without Two-Toppy!! Holly got him this dinosaur box with a few dinosaurs in it. It will zip open to make a "scene" but he likes to keep his dinosaurs in it. Sometimes he empties all but the few that came with...call it a dinsoaur bo-xxxxx (since that's how it's sounded out in his phonics song). Adam loves to group things he feels belong together and enjoys playing with "sets". Miss Abbey's shopping cart. I knew she'd like it and it was one of the few things I was set on getting her for Christmas. Look close...those are the alphabet letters that go with the alphabet train Tammy bought Adam for his first birthday. They are one of her favorite things in the whole world. She likes to sort them sometimes in the cart, sometime in the clear box I store them in and sometimes in the train they came with. She likes to load them into my lap and then take them back one by one. Adam loves to go through the letters, too. Tammy hit a score two and a half years ago when she bought those!!! Sick of being sick. This is day four. I hope I feel better by test day on Saturday. Adam is not even pretending to sleep during nap time anymore, even though he's been under the weather, too. Abbey is so obsessed with those shape blocks I wrote about before from Uncle Bobby, she screamed bloody murder when I took them from her for lunch, resulting in a time out in her crib. She yelled about the same thing for 40 minutes on Saturday, so the ten minutes was an improvement. She only yelled one minute when I took them from her for bed!
