Christmas in February
Tammy and I were finally able to get together for "Christmas" Saturday night. I had a gift certificate to Bridie Manor, so we decided to head over. We were the only ones in the dining room...but it was 8:30pm and I think their customer base is the early bird special type. We waned to sit in front of the fire place and we got it. I hate how puffy my face looks in this photo, but I guess I have to include myself on occasion on the blog!
I ordered what I always get, Haddock Italiano, but baby was not into it! Luckily, the french onion soup had been really good. Here's Tammy posing with her gifts. I mean, Tammy has been making these faces for photos since the beginning of time. I found a watch that reminded me of the a couple she had bought and loved years ago in London. A "jeweled" bracelet. And a makeup case...this girl goes through makeup cases often!
Tammy got me what she called a "Mom" gift. An open bag from 31 which is great for carting things around (I actually have been starting to want some "31") and a really cool thing for my Ipad which will help me download my photos onto it. And a Christmas tree skirt, because she noticed I didn't have one, which made me smile, because when my Mom gets me stuff she says that a lot.
Nice to have a night out to talk and just hang out. We went to Tim Horton's so I could replace my dinner with an ice cream sundae and Tammy gave me some lessons on the stuff I can do on my Ipad. I was exhausted by 11:30, which she giggled about. I told her I won't pick on her for being asleep when I called at 2pm if she won't pick on me for it being past my bedtime!!
So Merry Christmas Tammy....and the kids have NOT stopped playing with that Lincoln Log train set. Adam is obsessed with the train part. He said "Santa brought a present!" I said no, Tammy did. So now he keeps telling me that Tammy brought him a Christmas present :)

I'm so glad they like the lincoln log set. I just remember playing with my brother's set when I was a kid. I hope they aren't creating too much of a mess around the house!! I love ALL of my presents too.
