January Walking Weather

I have no idea what the temperature was today, but it was sunny and pretty warm I figured a good day to take the kids for a walk, something they did most days all the way through November. Usually, Abbey is in her stroller but today I decided just to see what happened. Adam's been trying this "carry me" thing, too. But I put their coats and Monkey hats on and away we went.

Adam did ask to get carried once but I told him no. After that, he walked and picked up sticks and even kept his hat on half the time!

Abbey held my hand and put one foot in front of the other very determined. She was fascinated by the little bits of snow here and there but she was focused on walking. As we rounded the last corner, I could tell her little legs were getting tired but she was determined to finish. And she did.

We played a little bit in the driveway when we got back, but she was ready to go in when I asked. I decided I wanted a picture in the monkey hats...and this is the look I got from Abbey because she was ready to get it off! :) See her pink nose? So cute! And this was the best I got when I tried to put Adam's back on...! Did I mention that while we were walking, he pulled it down over his eyes and started being a monkey until I said Hey monkey where's Adam...then he said SURPRISE! Love the twinkle in his eye when he's being "clever". Adam made it clear he was not in the mood for Mom's camera so I settled for this :0

Mom at home activities ...it's nice to be able to do them again :)
