Adam's Bouncy House 3rd Birthday Party

We wanted to do something for Adam's third birthday, but with everything going on, the idea of trying to hold something at the house stressed me out. Jackie mentioned that there is a bouncy house place in town and Todd and I decided to look into and ultimately, to go with it. He was booked for the afternoon, but knocked the price down for a 5:30pm party, which actually worked for us...it was after nap time! And it was on his actual birthday. I don't know why, but I really like celebrating their birthdays on the actual days. Somehow, it seems more special.

I had gotten stressed out and Todd went and picked up the meat tray at Garafolo's and the cake at Cakes Galore (he was such a supportive Dad!)...wasn't it awesome? Adam DOVE right in! So did his buddy Jonathon from across the street. And Miss Abbey was WOWED. Got Daddy to take her down. She couldn't be stopped. Adam started running around with all the toys...this is Adam with Daniel "filling up" the cars :) And then I got pulled into taking MIss Abbey down (yes, that's my behind). She went so fast I could barely keep up!!! I went down a few times with my girly girl. She kept escaping...I followed her as much as I could...she discovered this slide. And this bike! She was too funny tying to figure it out and ended up getting mad at it :) Adam hit the slide, too. And was fascinated with this big ball! Holly's granddaughter Anya partying. I have to add, it was FREEZING in there but the kids didn't notice...just the adults! Melissa came from Rochester to help...she never misses a birthday with our kiddos! Daddy had to hold Adam back from clawing into "Rexy" but once the candles were lit and we were singing to him, he was so proud. He really got that this was all about him and he loved it. Enjoying the cake. And Miss Abbey sat on my lap, REALLY loving the cake! And then back to the slide for her...by then she didn't need us or any help at all. Covered in cake, I had to finally had to drag her out of there after everyone had left and Daddy had packed up the car. Adam had asked to go home as the other kids were leaving, so he was waiting with Daddy. We tried to get Adam to open gifts with mixed success at 7:30ish. The kids were headed out as it was a late night for toddlers and he saw a few things he loved, like a moon sand kit from Q with dinosaurs in it and a remote control dinosaur from Uncle Chuckie....he didn't get the point of opening gifts until Christmas a couple months later :) He was tired and I could barely get him to say good-bye to people and he started saying "Home" and running to the door. That's Adam...he loves doing stuff, but after a bit, he loves to go home.

He had a good day. He loved his gifts in the morning from us, visited Daddy and had a Happy Meal for lunch and a party he loved. It was a great third birthday, my only complaint is it all went too fast. Sigh. His whole life seems to be going by fast.

The guest were: Grandma Lynn, Grandma Kathy and Alex and Patrcik, Uncle Chuckie and Aunt Missie, Melissa, Jackie and Q, The Tsutsumishitas, Jenn and Maddie, Holly and Anya, Megan and Amelia, Sarah with Jack and Natalie, did I miss someone??

  1. Love seeing the pics. Yes, Adam is clear about wanting to chill at home when he is ready. Your butt looks good. Haha. I always said you had a small butt!!!!
