Last Saturday...The Kids Go Swimming!

After our big day at the fair last weekend, we decided to go to Terry Potter's to go swimming in their above ground pool. I don't have pictures as I was busy in the pool. (We did take a detour as I asked Todd where the heck people lived in Sandy Creek so we drove through there and Lacona and he showed me the EMPTY mill that once supported the town! There's a Big M and a convenience store in "downtown" if you were wondering).
Having almost had a heart attack when my son jumped into Jackie's pool I had ordered a swim vest for Adam but I ended up putting it on Abbey and walking her in. Adam was so longing to be in that Todd got in in his shorts. At first, they were both nervous. Adam was clingy and wanted me so we switched. It was a four foot pool, so we could walk them around.
That didn't last long after about 20 minutes Adam was so happy and having so much fun he was almost acting like he wanted to be let go!!! We were trying to get both of them to kick and they were having so much fun. It was another moment of watching my kids grow up. Of course, when Daddy got Adam back, they were "getting people" and splashing. He was having A BALL!
Abbey actually wanted to get out before Adam. I think the vest got on her nerves a bit :) He got out and then wanted to get back in, even letting Jason hold him. They LOVED it!

  1. Great. JoDee is at the point where she had to start swimming lessons for the kids because they'd never been in pools and had a rough time at a pool party recently. It made her nervous enough that she wanted the kids to learn to swim since she never did and is always nervous around water. The girls are really good in water. It is better for them to know how to swim for peace of mind.

  2. Water babies!!! I wish mom and dad still had a pool they could come for a fun day in Rochester! Glad they are loving the water-it will make for many more fun family outings!
