I was able to get it all back in and as I wheeled my cart out, the alarm went off...! Apparently they security tag the hand baskets so that no one steals them! At least it was like 11am on a Thursday and not busy! I sighed and resigned myself that I couldn't be completely independent. I told them there was no way I could get the stuff out myself and the cart fetcher wheeled things out.

The Friday before, Tammy helped me take them to Carousel Mall for the first time. I don't have a double stroller yet as Abbey is too tiny to sit in one (although after navigating the mall, I don't know how effective a giant double stroller would be!). Adam needed new shoes and as his feet are double x wide the only place we can get them is Stride Rite. Also, he's got a nice cute belly the only pants that fit him well are at The Children's Place. Add Macy's, Gymoboree and a couple of stores for clothes that fit me *sigh* and the food court (Adam wouldn't eat anything I got him!) and we got a lot done in a few hours. Especially as two people who always enjoyed shopping slow together :). Abbey slept and when she finally woke, I went out in the car to feed her as Tammy kept Adam occupied in the mall.

All in all, I got what I needed...and I couldn't have done it without Tammy's help! She is so good around kids...she is one of the few people I ever met who doesn't have kids but still doesn't get flustered when they act up or there's an issue (yeah, Adam peed through his pants). And Adam loves her! Hey, she's the fun aunty :)
These pics are my kids on our way out...Adam is exhausted and did actually fall asleep on the way home.
He was SOOO tired. But, he was really good the whole time. He loved having all the people around and delighted walking through the halls, kicking up his feet and bursting out in laughter on occasion. He held up well...and got tired enough to pass out really early on the ride home which is perfect. I thought they both did well. I think the double-stroller will actually help at some point. I can't believe you did the big "W" alone. Then, you set off the alarm? Don't embarrass me in front of my sister-in-law.
