Horses, Donkey & Dogs...And Driving Daddy

After visiting the Easter Bunny, Todd suggested we swing by his brother Chuck's horse farm. I think we thought if the big bunny didn't do it for him, let's find an animal that would! HA

Chuck's daughter Jillian and her husband Danny run a horse business...but there's also a miniature donkey walking around. That's right...Pedro wanders the barn and the yard along with the dogs and the barn cat. Adam met him a year ago...but as he LOVES donkey from Shrek, Todd thought this would be a great treat. And Adam LOVED the barn...the only fear he showed? When the barn cat brushed against him!!!


He looked at horses with his daddy, pet the donkey (though he wouldn't sit on him), stole bridles and ran around with them, tried to pull the dog (or DEE!! as Adam said) out from under the bench and went outside with his Dad and Uncle.

Meanwhile, after checking out the horses with Daddy, Abbey cuddled her cousin Jillian, even falling asleep in her arms.


We headed up to the house to see the purebred puppies Missy had...Todd let Adam sit on his lap and "drive". THIS was the highlight of the kid's day! He absolutely GRINNED! This was the look I imagined on his face when I dragged him to the Easter Bunny...I was so excited for him. And then he took "driving" very seriously!!

He liked the puppies at first...but three of them jumped his head and licked his ears!! Todd had to pull them off...after that, Adam was very wary of them...loosening up enough to chase them before we left.
