Abbey's four year well child was today. She did amazing. No fear. A year and a half ago, she had a tantrum when I pulled into the parking lot. I swore she'd have to be dying to bring her back. At her 3 year, she did OK and her last sick visit, OK...but today amazing.
She wanted to use the stethoscope and kept asking if the doctor was going to look into her ears. She even got on the scale for the very first time. She's 41 pounds and 41 inches. 75% weight and %50 height, where's she been for three years. My kids don't have teeny genes. Well, Ellie got them all. Abbey even went down the hall WITHOUT ME to get her ears and eyes checked, which didn't get accomplished much, but she was trying. I felt so proud of her. Her language, of course, was discussed, but other than that, she's in great health. And as she sat in the waiting room, her back straight, proud of being a big girl, I saw how hard she has been trying to grow up. Not too quickly, my little girl.

She looks so cute on her little table. I mean, giving her something to play with is a good idea. Glad they let her test it out.
