This isn't a post about the party, but about my girl being four. I love her so much. I worry all the time am I doing right by her unique personality. I look so tired here, my girl I always dreamed of three days old in my arms. She slept so well that first month, it baffled us after having Adam. Of course, once she woke, things were never the same. So much has happened in those four years and I hardly recognize myself.
She's a few months old in this photo, love this face, at a trip to the zoo. She has grown so much, adjusting to school and talking so much. Feisty, beautiful, amazing and unique, I'm lucky to have been trusted with her. There is no doubt that Abigail Marie Butler will do great things. This morning she had her hair in a ponytail and put on sunglasses. 'Sam Sparks' she said in her little accent, grinning with a sparkle in her eye... A character from her current favorite movie on DVD. Enchanted by all things princess and fashion, we watch Frozen clips before book time now. And there's always a crown nearby.
Her announcement photo, taken by Steve Yablonski. Look at that hair!
A favorite Tammy took. Peaceful princess. I remember being overwhelmed at the thought of two. Ha.

Four is different. It's beyond the toddler two and three marks...it is the transition to little girl stage. She definitely has her own mind. She needs an outlet for creating fashion...somehow!
