In June, we went back to the Burnett Park Zoo. The trip didn't start out that great because I put too much sunscreen on poor Abbey's face, it got in her eye and I actually had to find the medic to flush it out. I felt awful. Thankfully, she recovered! We walked through the first cave area, the aviary and got to the lions and monkeys and I didn't take photos, but Adam was VERY excited to be there...especially to see the Foosa, King Julian (lemurs) and the MONKEYS. Yes, his favorite zoo animal is all type of monkeys.
It was fun to see an elephant playing in the old elephant area. Always one of my favorites.
Black bear! Which Adam kept calling a Polar Bear :)
OK, this guy is always hiding and it was so cute to see the Red Panda up and around.
Recovered princess. She's almost smiling here looking for the tigers! Adam was funny because on the loop walk, he remembered everything from the time before and I was like Come one let's see....
Both the kids loved watching the penguins, which were really hamming it up that day. This is one display that is better than at the Rochester zoo.
Miss Abbey was really into watching them!
And neither kid could be convinced that they weren't hanging out on the other side. Until Abbey spotted a puddle. Then she was distracted.
Smiley girl. Yeah, it was green day for the Butlers.
On our way out, Adam was happy to help open the doors. And then he kept going.

Seems like the zoo is a very popular Butler family destination.
