Hanging with Q

A couple of weeks ago, we had a date with Jackie and Q AND Buddy the new puppy. We went over for lunch, bringing Happy Meals. But Adam and Abbey were way more fascinated by Buddy and Quentin's cool kitchen and shopping toys in the dining room than with eating much lunch.

When we had gotten there Abbey and the puppy started rolling around together, it was very cute as they are about the same size it seems! Abbey got too kissed and wanted up. I took her in the dining room and I put her on my lap to eat. But Buddy kept paying her a visit. And she couldn't help herself---she loved it! Meanwhile, Adam had discovered all the toys. He loved counting the play money and flipping the shopping cart over to "fix" it. Quentin wanted to go up to his room and since my kids had discovered the back stairway, we went up. The A-team loved all of his toys and everyone had fun. Abbey spent a lot of time being mad that I wouldn't let her climb up Q's bunk beds, sassing me and throwing a tantrum. In between, her and Adam just LOVED the dollhouse, it may be time to get them one. It's funny though...Abbey was all cuddly with the baby, putting it in it's cradle. Adam, however, was stacking the family up in the closet and re-arranging furniture. Boy/girl differences or should I be scared??? ;)

Afterwards, Jackie was nice enough to say she'd watch them for ten minutes while I ran over to Big M. Well, it was actually 20. And when I got back, my kids were happy, eating Oreos and donuts and watching cartoons. Jackie had given Abbey her juice box...and I had forgotten to mention that she loves to squeeze them. Guess she got the wicked glint in her eye and did it all over!

Later, Jackie messaged me to let me know that after we left, her, Q AND Buddy the dog were so tired, they ALL took a nap. The A-team DOES have that tornado affect....trust me! It cracks me up that they tired out such an energetic kid...I guess I don't have a chance!

  1. You are making the rounds this week. Convenient to have mommy time and kiddie time all at the same time.

  2. haha, I love telling this story to people as well. It's going to be a lot of fun having our kids grow up together. Now, go get those two big kid toys like shopping carts and doll houses.
