Story Hour

Since Adam's first time to the library, we've gone to story hour twice on Friday. The week before Valentine's Day and another week when the topic was dinosaurs. We went with the family across the street..Erin and her four kids Nathan (10), Abigail (8), Jonathan (6) & Daniel (2). Adam LOVES these kids. It's been great having someone across the street that has kids...we see them about every other week and she has babysat a couple of times as well.

These photos were all taken at the first time. Adam & Danny were immediately drawn to the blocks and it was hard to get Adam over to hear the story. Erin pushed Abbey around in her stroller while I sat with Adam...he was actually half interested in sitting with me and listening. He'd try to get away and the minute I let him go he'd sit with me. It was cute. The fact that they read a Clifford book helped I'm sure! Afterwards, it was time to make a Valentine. I've done some coloring with Adam, but this was his first "craft". We didn't quite make it the way they had it set up but I did get him interested in coloring on it and gluing a heart on! Then we were ready to mail it to Grandma. It was cute they had a little post box there for the kids to put them into. SNIFF SNIFF my boy's first homemade card! Erin helping her kids... Enjoying the snack.... The next time we went, Adam and Abbey were on more high maintenance mode. Adam wasn't interested in listening and he had to take a time out twice! And Abbey wanted to be held and she wanted to walk...! Adam made a dinosaur for his Daddy and we brought it to him....and Daddy had us hang it over his desk. Looking forward to many story hours in the future....I have to admit, as a kid the library was one of my favorite places!
