This past Tuesday, I took the kids back up to see Pam at Chaumont. I was reminded on the way up when I had made the drive up the last time, I had called to talk to Dad and told him what I was up to. We didn't talk long as the connection stank, but he sounded really happy that I was going to have fun.
As you can see by Adam's fro, it was windy! He went right for the dogs of course and ran around excited the whole time. He cautiously took his first steps into the water with Greg. We went to The Blue Heron for lunch and it was crowded and short-staffed...but the kids did pretty good for an hour...then Abbey had had enough! She yelled all the way down the road back...as I had wanted to give Adam a few minutes of running around after being in the high chair. She fell fast asleep!! Adam did more running and playing, throwing balls, getting Pam to follow him and literally circling the cottage! He slept all the way home!
