Juwonio

Abbey's last day of summer pre-k was Friday.  Six weeks and three days a week. Juwonio is a world away from Catholic school. Lots of play based learning including 'trike town' and water slide days.   She grew attached to the guniea pigs and one of the teachers, Daniel.
She requested an Inside Out dress for her last day and accessorized with an Up necklace and cherry shoes.  Usually, it's tees and shorts there.  She was struggling with it being over.
When I picked her up, she wasn't feeling well but still wanted to do our last day of school ice cream tradition.  She didn't even eat it, poor kid.
Ellie did though.  HA.
It was a good experience for Abbey. She met most if her summer IEP goals. Her biggest issue is still appropriate peer interaction.  I'm glad she went, but glad we kept her in Catholic school for the year as it prepared her for how kindergarten will be.  She's nervous about kindergarten.  She'll be OK because she never, ever gives up.  That's how I know.

  1. So hard to watch them struggle with anything. I think at this stage - we worry about the little ones we love as much as they worry about themselves.
