Bailey

Both want to write about Bailey and don't. Watching her die Saturday night at the cottage was hard.  Helpless to do anything, it was so fast.  An autopsy revealed cancer and a tumor that burst her heart.  She had been running around camp that day, very much alive.  

She was an amazing pet and very much a part of the family.  She is missed.  Adam gets it. He broke my heart Sundsy night when he burst out my Bailey died I will never see her again.  Abbey asks a lot where she is and I think she finally gets it because she got mad and yelled I want Bailey back!  Anger is her sadness. 

I never felt the loss of a pet like this before.  The house feels empty.  She was 12 years old.

    They break your heart in the end, but give you so much relief and support while they are here. I'm glad it was quick for Bailey's sake. For you, quick or slow or natural or administered...there is no way to avoid the trauma of it...to think there is would be naive. It is all awful.
