Adam's Graduation

Way back in Mid-June, our son did a graduation ceremony from his pre-school.  Uncle Bobby watched the girls so we could both go.  Above, Adam is in the music room with his class getting ready.

They really went above and beyond.  Each kid had a station in the gym with all sorts of projects, including the one below.  So cute.
Then the big moment.  And there's Adam walking in with his teacher, Miss Elizabeth.  So cute.  Love this photo.
There's my boy.  So proud!  So grown-up.
Here the class is doing there little poem. Adam said "See You Later Alligator"...there he is on the end holding up the alligator he made.
They sang the songs on their program.  Mrs. Pelow is Adam's helper...he was looking to her for some support :)
Adam was first to get his little diploma and he hugged his teachers.  All the other kids followed his lead after that.
He really gave them hugs!
There's the principal, Mrs. Sugar, giving Adam his diploma.
Big boy!  We were so proud.  He had come so far in the year.  It was amazing to see how grown up he had become.
And at the end...the had the kids give us Moms our plants.  He was so excited to run to us.  He actually ended up sitting with us while they did the photo slide show instead of sitting with the other kids.  We didn't mind.  I'd by lying if I didn't say that I didn't get a little teary that night.
Oh happy boy!  Extra exciting from a kid who doesn't show his excitement like this often.
During the year, Adam made some friends including Lucy Canale, a fift grader.  Her class came in once a week and she really took to Adam and bonded with him.  Also, the 90 year old woman "Nana" who reads at library time actually told me he's a favorite and the teachers gave her a framed photo of her with Adam as a gift.  He's a ladies man it seems!  He really loves school and it made such a difference for him...it'll be amazing to see what the next year brings...

  1. So cute. Love how he has his hand in his pocket like Cool Hand Luke while he walks in. Then, he hugs everyone!! Makes sense that you were a bit emotional I'd be teary-eyed too if my first-born was graduating from anything!
