Time Keeps on Slipping...Into the Future....

Every day one of my kids does something I say to myself...don't forget to blog that! I don't want to forget anything... Adam's birthday on Friday and Halloween yesterday will be getting their own posts, of course. But there's other stuff...like this morning how when I headed out towards the office to see Todd on my way to Target, we were about halfway there and Adam started saying daddy! It was the first time that I could tell that he knew we were specifically on our way somewhere. He recognized the route!

I got an impromtu kiss this afternoon. I pulled a few from him this weekend by kissing his cheek over and over until he gave me his lips. But today as i was laughing with him about putting his goldfish crackers in his water bottle he turned his face up to me and went mmmmm....you know, the kissing noise. And it just feels so good. Like how Todd felt last week when for the first time, Adam ran up to him at the door and wanted a big hug. He's always run to see his Daddy, but now he jumps right on him.

Abbey refuses to put on socks and Todd suggested maybe some shoes since it's getting cold out. I went to Target to find her some and found out that she is the OPPOSITE of Adam. She has such tiny feet, I had to get the smallest size. And I also found her some size 0-6 months slippers to wear at home. They are so cute and I put them on her feet...and they stayed on!! I also went because I realized last week....of all the clothes I love to buy my kids, I never bothered to get my son a winter coat. Yep.

A few weeks ago, Abbey said dadada. She has said it more than once, and almost always when Todd was home, so I'm certain it's her first word. She added baba a few days later as she frantically went after one. And yesterday, I think she said mama. I guess it's only fair since Adam said Mama first, right around this age.

And speaking of Adam's speech....sometimes he just comes out with a sentence as clear as day. This kid isn't bothering with the little words. Like last night after we went trick-or-treating and I was standing on the porch doling out candy as they were a ton of kids at a time, Adam was cracking up and I put my lips to the window and he kissed me And he said, as heard by his Daddy, too "I kissed you Mommy!". And Adam broke out and turned around and said "hi" to his sister :0 More Halloween to come...and thanks Tammy for catching this with your camera :)

  1. It was just so funny to see them there peeking out of the door window to see what was going on out there. I definitely could make out some of the things he said too.
