Happy Thanksgiving
We've cooked a turkey together for all four of our years together. I've gotten pretty good at it...this year I made it myself. We invited my mother and Bobby over for dinner planned for mid-afternoon, after Todd got home from work. I dressed the kids and put on a movie....they look so grown up!
Once my Mom and brother showed up, the kids got clingy and my brother and Todd had to finish the cooking...! I'm not sure why exactly since Daddy was home, too, but Adam kept pushing me into my chair saying "Sit Down". They were tired and cranky, too and seemed to have a cold (like most of the last month or two!) But it all came together....
Love this photo of Daddy and Adam.
Abbey was so tired...she ate a few "trees" and basically asked to go to bed, so we obliged. Adam soon followed, though he complained some, he was soon asleep.
'Guncle Bobby' Enough said!
Todd actually told me I could take photos of him with the turkey leg! The one where Adam was watching him turned out blurry. He wasn't having it when Todd tried to get him to take a bite, too!
And you can see the love my wonderful husband has for my candid shots right here in his eyes.
Nice laid back holiday...I enjoyed the idea without the concept of the pressure that usually accompanies Christmas. I think I'm going to put more and more into it so when my kids are grown, it's a holiday I can pressure them into all coming home for and not take away from their own Christmas traditions ha!
