Abbey's Dinner

Abbey loves the Texas Roadhouse.  I knew we wouldn't have time to go on her birthday, so we went last Sunday at 330pm.  Still had to wait. We hatethat with kids. It can be hell on earth.
And Abbey wanted Mac and cheese.  Sigh. I mean box Mac and cheese st 500% mark up.
The saddle was broken but they still came over and cheered her.   She was a little dissapointed.  They need to fix that people love it!!
And Ellie kind of behaved.  I settle for that lately. She's awfully moody.

Abbey's Sixth Birthday

Hard to believe she's 6.   Strong willed and opinionated, clever and kind, and beautiful and full of life, I have learned so much from her.

Ready for school. I dropped off pink cupcakes with hearts on them, her specific request.  I love when she gets a vision lol
Karate night and she had to wear her crown.
Then off to Toys R Us, our tradition.   She just went nuts.  We had her select from her pile.  She tends to pick small stuff so we let her have 6 because she's 6. It was the first year she was super into the shopping idea.
Opening grandma's gift before bed.  Grace, an American Girl.
Stayed up way late and passed out hugging her new HK.
The next day she opened gifts she got in the nail.  Her new hamster friend 'Marine' from Jack and Natalie.
And a beautiful handmade pigeon purse frommy mom group friends.  It topped off what had turned into almost a week celebration.   Goodness, they are spoiled and i used to worry about that.  But in a few years they won't want parties with family and trips to the toy store.  I can see it coming already.  So now I just enjoy how excited they get.

Class Party

On Friday night Abbey went to her first classmate party. A pool party and sleep over.  I was a bit shocked at the sleepover part.... I mean who lets their 5 year olds stay overnight at a hotel with strangers?  I wasn't the only one.  Only one kid from school stayed over 😂.  anyhow Abbey was excited and picked a party dress.
Which she quickly shed and got in the pool upon arrival. They had a blast and she was even jumping in.
Two hours and she was out, stalking the sweets table.  She had fun and it was a good chance to see her social skills.  She struggles a bit still, saying the wrong thing and repeating herself, but she's not excluded.  It was nice to see her have fun and let loose.

Typical Ellie Thursday

Ellie's favorite thing is Thursday morning story hour at Barnes&Nobles.  We go more often than not and she's so comfortable, she helped Miss Pat hand out glue sticks for this week's craft.
Her skill has taken a recent leap. She loves the stuffed puppies all over the kids' area.
Then we get a snack.  She loves her treat she always picks an m & m brownie. She picks the table and loves to people watch.
Then through the magazines.  She loves these stools.  I have to scold her about standing on then. Next, the Lego table and sometimes the train table.  She has gotten better about sharing these but still doesn't care much if she plays with the other kids. This week we were there until 12:30. And I had to drag her out.
After school is dance, so we rush to get Abbey there then these two hang out in the car.  They raced up the hill this week.
Adam told her she won.  Then he did his homework while she yelled at me in the car.
