Halloween Parade Day

Their school does a parade.  Abbey took some convincing that she wasn't to fonts school in costume. She had me up at 6:30 tying on her necklace she made.
Ellie so cute with Elsa. That dog takes A LOT of abuse from the girls.
I went in early to put Abbey's costume on.  She was panicked as always.  Makes me feel bad.   Then the parents go to the gym and each class gets 'presented'.  Both my kids on the end.
It's all very crazy and chaotic.  Lots of princesses. Lots of superhereos. Then they parade outside and around the school.
Abbey looked perfect in her Anna Spring Fever costume.
I had tucked in and zipped Indiana Jones but it lasted five seconds. Indiana NEVER zips his coat, mom.   Of course.

Sunday We Should've Stayed Home

On the second weekend of October, we decided to go over to the Regional Market. We look going to flea markets for boot leg DVDs. Ha. We read the hours wrong and it was closing up. Kids were dissapointed. Lafayette apple fest was going on, but we didn't feel like crowds.
I suggested Hafners. I knew they did stuff on the weekend and we could get pumpkins.  The place was PACKED.
We started out making the best of it.  The kids did a free maze thing and then headed to the slide.  Poor Ellie went down it too hard and hurt her leg.  We took turns comforting her while the other tried to navigate the other kids. Ellie calmed down but she didn't want to leave the cart.
They pet some animals then Adam stared crying about the craft table.  He NEVER acts like that.  Abbey wanted her face painted.  Then we were told they were closing down. What?  I found another face painter and she got a butterfly while Adam drew on a shirt.   We couldn't wait to get out of the crowd.  We took our pumpkins and mums home and headed to Texas Roadhouse.  But ten Ellie couldn't walk. It was awful. We left and I took her to urgent care.
She hated it.  I think the ER after the accident scarred her. After having to hold her down for x-rays, I was told it wasn't broken.  She passed out on the floor, exhausted.  It took her five days to walk again.  When asked what happened, she'll tell you about the naughty slide.  We should've stayed home that day, I think.

Flat Tire

I had one simple errand to run yesterdsy and stopped through DD on the way.  My tire is suddenly flat. My first dramatic instant flat.  I drive up the block and pull into a gas station.  Air pump is broken.  Figures.  I went and looked at the tire.  It wouldn't have helped. It was FLAT.  I called Todd. He was going to send a guy.   Over an hour later, he arrived.  Ellie was not thrilled by then.
She demanded to go potty.  Where she sat and didn't go ( oh potty training) then got some energy out.
This puddle was so much fun that she had a tantrum all the way home that we didn't bring home 'her puddle'.  Seriously. Can't make that up.
Super Ellie with her sword.  So after a two hour side stop we went home.  Wasn't in the mood to buy TP.   Grateful I have someone to call - wasn't always the case.
