Whirlwind Summer: Karate Camp

Camps are big now.  There are camps for everything, especially near a bigger city.  Adam went to Karate camp in July while I juggled her school, gymnastics and Irish dance.  And Ellie.  He liked it.  Lots of big boys. More social lessons.  I like the sensei.  We are starting lessons soon.
For six weeks, three days a week I took Abbey to Juwonio. Everytime, Ellie had to play with the flowers.  During the week, I had to come up with nerf and water guns.
One day, Ellie stopped to join her.

Fourth of July Part 1

Fourth of July began with photos.  I love these outfits.  I had plans to bring them to camp and take pictures but kind of realized that would probably fail.  So I did it first thing.
The best of all three.  Such a challenge.
Abbey likes standing on the brick wall in back.  So Abbey had to.
It's so hard to get a real smile from Adam so I get so happy when I do.  They are used to my "photo shoots" and cooperate for a short time.  Then they watched TV and I ran around like a crazy person trying to pack for the cottage. Growing up fast. So fast.  But don't you adore Ellie's little red shoes? ;)

Magic Forest Take 3

We discovered Magic Forest a few years ago by accident.  Trapped in time and I'm always surprised it stays open.  We skipped last year, but knew that Ellie would love it this year.  It's in Lake George, not a bad day trip.  She love it, as we knew.  Adam is aging out.  Bittersweet.  He loved sitting with Ellie.  I love their bond.
 So much to see!
I LOVE this picture of Adam.  One of my favorites in a long time.  He looks grown up.  Usually I get a weird face for photos.  This is really him.
Did you know they feature the world's only diving horse?  Adam was obsessed with seeing this.  Then he needed reassurance that the horse couldn't drown.  He's so sweet hearted.
Shoot mama.  She thought it was so funny.
I told Adam to shoot at Mama and he said no Daddy.  That's my boy!
Abbey won't smile for me usually lol
 She looks different here; older.
She had to have the pink everything.
She got a little hot and miserable.
Adam really wanted his picture taken with this bear lol
Kids begged for and got ice cream treats.  Mom I'm eating Spongebob's eye.
 Devouring Hello Kitty.
 True Americana.
I love this old road that once graced Coney Island.
And my Abbey shot of the day.  Tired!  Adam loved the sack slide I didn't get a photo of and Abbey's favorite was the ferris wheel.  Ellie loved the Carousel I think.  Nice day.  But soon, they'll be too big for this hidden gem.  Then it's long lines and heat at a traditional park.  ugh. Ha!

Adam's Well Check Wednesday

50 inches and 62 pounds.  90th percentile.  No surprises.  The kids love the blood pressure cuff! Adam is healthy as a horse. He was a bit confused as to why he was going to the doctor if he wasn't sick though.
Abbey wanted her ears and BP checked.  Taking all three kids doesn't freak me out like it once did.  We all adapt and adjust.
So much fun trying to get pictures of all thee.
Doctor is three blocks from the old house and ny friend Erin. Daniel is Adam's age.  Their personalities are VERY different always have been!  Here's Adam learning Othello.
And Abbey watching Cars.  Her and Ellie were mostly obsessed with their two dogs.
