Ellie and the Car Wash

Ellie is almost two and and she's all toddler.  She talks amazing, even reversing her pro nouns.  She has tantrums when picking Adam up from school and doesn't want to be cuddled.  But poor Ellie is my first kid terrified of the car wash.
With each pass her lower lip comes out and she cries.  I rub her ankle to help comfort her. From a little girl who is comforted by Scooby Doo, it's a bit surprising!  She keeps asking all done? With that quivering lip.  Oh, my baby girl.

Harlie is 8

Harlie is Terry Potters grand daughter; heron Kari makes our awesome cakes. We went to their new house in LaFayette for an ice cream social party.  I took the a-team first as Ellie was still sleeping.  Abbey ate all her toppings then was done.
Adam practically licked the bowl clean.
The birthday girl. I remember her like she was 2 yesterday.  They are building a bit of a farm and renovating their home.
Abbey LOVED the tire swing. They all loved the chickens and goats, especially Ellie who arrived with Daddy just in time for cake.
She made Jason get her ready to go out she loved the swing set .., can already swing herself!!

Happy Easter 2015

Ellie's second Easter but her first as a toddler with an opinion.  She planted herself in front of her basket.
Adam excited at his Indiana Jones outfit and the pigeon below from the book series that Abbey has been BEGGING for.
And Mack from Cars.  She is currently obsessed with the characters of that movie.
 Indiana Adam!
Ellie's first candy of the morning.  PRICELESS!
She was in love with this little Mystery Machine.  She's such a Scooby freak lol
Poor Adam broke his arm on his scooter Friday so I ditched dragging them out for elaborate portraits and just tried to get some shots.  I love when these two are like this.
A group shot wasn't easy.  Ellie wasn't putting down her basket.
For some reason, Abbey wanted me to take this picture :)
Best picture of the day. Forget my fancy Easter shoes.  Ellie insisted they BOTH wear them.
She was high on gummy bears!  She didn't let them out of her sight until they were gone.
Abbey wanted a picture or her pigeon.
Reading one of her books from her basket.
 Love his smile :)
 Elsa
Anna.  Right now kids are in their room.  Todd just woke up asking about dinner.  Guess my sit down time is done.  Lasagna.

Abbey Meeting

I had a meeting with Abbey's support team.  They came to the house on Monday.  We've had our ups and downs over the year. If you recall, they wanted me to put her in a different school.  I've come to appreciate how much they care for her, especially Miss Jenny her push-in special education support consultant.  She had mentioned summer program to me a few weeks ago and I think they were surprised I agreed at the meeting. She's come so far and I think it will be a good transition to kindergarten.

I can finally put into words how I feel.  I know she's different but I don't want people acting like there's something wrong with her.  Because there isn't -she's wonderful the way she is.
