I can hardly believe that my first born daughter is five. It seems like such a turning point from small child to well, I'm, a child. Her Valentine's Day pajama party picnic was moved to her birthday so here she is all ready to go. We brought pink frosted cupcakes for her class and she just loved that they were her favorite color.
That evening, we met Daddy at the toy store for their birthday gift trip. She picked out a Strawberry Shortcake, a Hello Kitty, a Princess Anna and two little Lego sets. Then she wanted to go to Cowboy dinner..her favorite place aka Texas Roadhouse. She loved it. Her favorite color is pink, her favorite shape is oval and her favorite Princess is Anna. She wants to be an Elf on the Shelf when she grows up. So she can fly around.
They put birthday people on the saddle and have everyone say Yee Haw ! She loved that.
She ordered macaroni and cheese and fries. Always.
Adam. He picked out a Marvel Avengers Lego set which he had been planning forever. He came the next day and spent four hours straight putting it together. I was impressed.
Ellie also sucks down the Kraft. She picked out Scooby figurines which she is now obsessed with. It was a nice day, but we were out late and kid weren't in bed until ten! I remember the day Abbey was born and it seems like forever ago and it seems like yesterday. She is sweet and stubborn, beautiful and caring. String willed and independent, she still loves being with mommy. And I'll soak THAT up while it lasts!!

Fall Renovation Round Up
As we peeled away at the shower issue in October, we ended up having to pull the whole thing out.
In process. They suggested a niche. It was a fantastic idea.
Meanwhile, on the nice days, they were parging our chimneys. Which made me sad at first because we were loosing the brick, but it became the best solution with all the water issues. I took this picture to show the difference. It's like cementing over it. And I ended up being OK with it. It changed the look of the house, but I became Fine with that.
One of Todd's guys pressure washed the front and it was clean for a few days. Totally different. We are doing away with the brick. It's actually just set down and not installed at all. And after a cold and drafty winter it seems we will have to replace that bay window after all.
Finished shower. I really like the floor I picked out. A marble mosiac. More projects to come this summer. If we can still afford it.

Sick
Feels like forever but I guess it's only been a week I've been sick. But before that I was healing. How's my eye? Looks more even than it did but there was not a miracle fix for beauty. I destined to spend my life trying to just not stand out with my many imperfections but I am glad it's at least a little improved.
I've been in this hell of sick for almost two weeks. The whole family has been taking turns. Today I am incredibly naseous and my head is killing me but at least the kids are back in school. I had nearly five days of fevers that wiped me out. At least Ellie didn't get emergency room sick again.
I've said it before but it's so hard to be mom to three sick kids while being sick. Guess no job is perfect.

Anna and Elsa
Our puppies, which arrived via Charlie the elf for Christmas on December 23. They have gotten big fast! The kids were shocked to find the elf pointing to the garage bathroom with puppies waiting! Blogger is being weird with this post. So these are some random puppy shots from the last six week. They desperately need hair cuts! The kids love them. Abbey squeezes too much and we are working on it. Potty training could go better. Sigh. One of the reasons they suggesting only getting one puppy at a time.
